SSC STENOGRAPHER EXAM PATTERN 2015-16: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Stenographer Group C and D in various Government department This is really a very good opportunity for the aspirants who have desire to work in the Government sector. Details about the exam pattern of SSC Stenographer have been provided for the benefit of our visitors.
The exam of SSC Stenographer Grade C and D will be held in 2 phases i.e. written exam and Skill test in stenography on dated 27-12-2015.
The written exam of SSC Stenographer Grade C and D will be of 200 marks having 200 questions objective type which are to be attempted within 2 hour.
General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 Questions / 50 marks – This sections includes questions of both verbal and Non – verbal type reasoning to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and their relationships such as analogies, similarities and differences, Space visualization, problem solving, analysis, Decision making, arithmetical reasoning, figure classification etc.
General Awareness - 50 Questions / 50 marks – In this section questions were set to test the candidate’s general awareness about different scientific aspects around them as well as knowledge of History, Geography, Economics, Polity and Culture etc.
English Language and Comprehension - 100 Questions / 100 marks – This section is necessary to test candidate’s knowledge of English Language, its vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Grammar etc.
The written exam will be conducted bilingually except the English language section. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt.
SKILL TEST IN STENOGRAPHY:
Candidates who will be successfully qualified the written exam will be called for Skill test in stenography. The Skill test will be qualifying test and Commission will fix the qualifying standard of Skill test for different test.
Candidates will be given one dictation of 10 minutes in English/Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for Stenographer Group C and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Group D. The matter will have to be transcribed in Computer only and evaluation of transcription will be done electronically only. The transcription time for Stenographer Group C will be 40 minutes (English) & 55 minutes (Hindi) and for Stenographer Group D time will be 50 minutes (English) & 65 minutes (Hindi).
After Written exam And Skill test Candidates will be appointed on the basis of their performance in these tests, by the Commission.
